Scott issued a statement in response to Senator Hyde-Smith’s vote to increase Health Care Costs
“Cindy Hyde-Smith has once again abandoned Mississippians who are suffering from higher costs under her watch. Today, Cindy Hyde-Smith voted against a plan that would have stopped a huge spike in health care costs as a result of a policy she passed – and now the country could be heading for a government shutdown. Time and time again, Hyde-Smith has sided with special interests and billionaires over Mississippians, who are facing higher costs on everything from groceries to their health insurance because of her votes. Shame on Cindy Hyde-Smith – our state deserves better.”
