Columbus, MS — In a new TV ad, the first of his U.S. Senate campaign, District Attorney Scott Colom draws on his mother’s teachings in pledging to “never quit” on Mississippi – highlighting his strong commitment to lowering costs and putting working families first while calling out Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith’s votes that could spike health care costs more than 300% for Mississippi families.
The ad begins airing tomorrow in Jackson and other Mississippi media markets through the March 10 primary.

SCOTT: Growing up, my mom always told me: whatever you do, never quit.
Didn’t matter if I was playing the violin, or if I was on the basketball court when I got older.
That lesson, and the faith she instilled in me, have guided my entire life.
That’s who we are in Mississippi. We never quit on each other.
And we’ll never quit working to make the state we love even better.
But Cindy Hyde-Smith, she’s forgotten that.
She sided with Washington special interests over what’s best for Mississippi.
