Oktibbeha County, MS – Last night U.S. Senate Candidate and District Attorney Scott Colom delivered the keynote address at the Oktibbeha County Democratic Banquet. In attendance were community leaders, students, faith leaders, and families from across Mississippi.
During Scott’s speech, Scott called for lowering costs for the working class family, no income tax on teachers and cops, and bringing good paying jobs back to Mississippi. Scott also criticized Cindy Hyde Smith for betraying Mississippians by voting to cut more than 140,000 Mississippians off of their health care and put 8 rural hospitals at risk of closing: “We have a Senator who cares more about DC politics than they do Mississippi… We need a Senator where Mississippi’s hospitals matter more than DC politics.”

About Scott: Scott Colom is a seventh-generation Mississippian, proud husband and father of two, and district attorney who fights every day to keep Mississippians safe.
Guided by his Christian faith, Scott has dedicated his life to serving his neighbors and keeping them safe from violent criminals.
