TUESDAY AT 7:30 PM: District Attorney Scott Colom Hosts Election Night Watch Party in Columbus

Colom Campaign welcomes supporters, media to the James M. Trotter Convention Center as results for Mississippi’s Democratic Senate primary election come in

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 7, 2026

Columbus, MS — On Tuesday, March 10, 2026, District Attorney Scott Colom will host an Election Night watch party for supporters at the James M. Trotter Convention Center in Columbus as Mississippi awaits primary results in the U.S. Senate race. Members of the press are also invited to attend.

The watch party follows months of Colom criss-crossing the state, from the Delta to the Gulf Coast, meeting Mississippians at kitchen tables, community events and listening sessions. It also comes on the heels of media reports detailing how Cindy Hyde-Smith’s campaign has spent lavishly on Las Vegas trips while Hyde-Smith herself recently told Mississippians struggling with high beef prices to simply ‘choose’ a different protein. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the cost of beef reached $6.75 per pound on average in January 2026–up from $5.55 per pound in January 2025.

Media interested in attending should RSVP with their name, outlet, and contact information to receive additional logistical details. Photo and video opportunities will also be available.
